Are skis sold as a pair or individually?
All C&A Pro Snowmobile Skis are sold per pair and include handles. (Qty. 1 in your shopping cart equals one pair of skis.) If you would like to purchase a single ski or two skis of different colors, please give us a call at 1-888-321-6789 or 1-320-587-7707 and we will set you up!
Can I purchase just one ski and not the pair?
Yes. Call our office at 1-888-321-6789 to place your order. We need to verify what ski model you need replaced, if it is a left or right side ski, the colors of the ski and handle. The cost for a single ski is 50% of the retail price for a pair of that same ski.
How do I install my skis?
While we do provide an instruction sheet with each pair of skis, we also have an installation video that walks you through the process.
I have a pair of C&A Pro Skis on my sled, but do not know which model of ski. How can I find out?
See the cross-section profile of our current skis and measurements. This may help you figure out which ski model you have. Otherwise, call our office at 1-888-321-6789 and we can assist you. We’ll need to know the width of the ski, the depth of the center keel, and if there are any distinctive features on the bottom of the ski.
How do I adjust the ski pressure?
The easiest way to adjust ski pressure is by loosening or tightening the limiter strap in your snowmobile’s skid frame.
What are the 3 sets of holes on the ski saddle for?
The holes are for ski tip height adjustment. The furthest forward hole is for drag racing applications. The middle hole is preferred for Snocross and most trail applications and is the factory default. The farthest back hole is for deep snow and mountain riding. Refer to our video explaining this in more detail.
How can I make my C&A Pro XCS Crossover Skis turn with less effort?
The XCS ski by nature is a very aggressive ski. In turn, it will increase steering effort over your stock skis. You may want to try a less aggressive carbide if you haven’t already. Also, you may want to decrease your ski pressure a little by adjusting your shocks and limiter strap. We do recommend if you are going to make changes to suspension, that you do it in small increments. This way you can make note of what helped and what did not, adjusting from there.
Does C&A Pro offer anything to improve cornering in Snocross and racing applications?
Yes! C&A Pro Cornering Kits are designed for Snocross racing and snowmobiling in deep snow. Cornering Kits deflect snow, allowing you to make tighter corners and stay on the inside line without additional drag or resistance with your straight line tracking. C&A's Cornering Kits are the largest allowed by ISR Rules.
Do handles come with hardware?
All necessary hardware will be included to bolt the new handles in place.
I have older-style handles that need to be replaced. Will the current handles fit?
Yes, the current handles are interchangeable with the older styles. Watch our video to learn how to replace your ski handles.
My new handles look different/shorter than the ones they are replacing. Will these work?
Yes. The handles are made of a flexible UHMW poly material and will take on a slightly different shape once installed. You will need to bend your ski tip back to align the new handle with the mounting hole. Watch our video to learn how to replace your ski handles.
I'm having difficulty installing the new handles. Are there tricks to getting these on?
Due to the flexibility of the ski, it can be a challenge to replace our handles. Start by installing the tip of the new handle onto the tip of the ski. Once that is bolted in place, our advice is to use a ratchet strap off the A-Arm for leverage to pull the ski tip back to the desired bolt hole in the saddle. Insert your bolt and nut and snug up and you are good to go.

Do I need a mounting kit?
Yes, you will need a C&A Pro mounting kit to install our skis on your sled. The mounting kit includes the rubber dampeners and all the hardware you will need to install the skis. Your snowmobile make and model will determine which mounting kit you need. If you already have C&A Pro Skis and are replacing them, you can reuse your existing mounting kit.
Do the rubber dampeners need to be oriented a particular way?
Yes. Reference the instructions that were provided with the mounting kit. If you do not have the instructions, download a copy on our Downloadable Resources page.
Carbides

SHOP CARBIDESWhat is the difference between a Shaper Bar, a Round Bar, and an Enduro Bar?
The Shaper Bar has a concave profile and is the choice for Snocross racing and aggressive riders.
The Round Bar is an excellent choice for trail/mountain riding and will also work for racing.
The Enduro Bar has a rectangular profile and provides great handling and durability on the trail.
Will my stock ski carbides fit C&A Pro skis?
No. C&A Pro skis have a different carbide bolt pattern than OEM skis. All of our skis have the same carbide bolt pattern except for the Outlaw and the Mini (they have their own model-specific carbides).
What length carbide do I need?
If you are a trail rider: running 96 studs or less, use a 4.5" - 6″ carbide; if you are running more than 96 studs, we recommend an 8" - 9″ carbide.
If you are a mountain/powder rider: A minimal carbide will be sufficient: use 4″ - 6″ carbide.

The Outlaw skis have been discontinued and we no longer offer a carbide for it. Any carbide that matches the bolt pattern on the ski will work.
